Yesterday

Out of the past to the present
Comes a sad sweet song from afar
Back from a world of yesterday
Down from a blue-white star.

It comes across the ages,
Oh hark, my soul, and be still,
Back from the days of long ago,
A voice floating down from the hill.

Before

My thoughts are scattered
across
the table
Like pieces of a puzzle
that can't be put together.
Tomorrow
the unknown
Help me God
Take the pieces of my
jigsaw puzzle
mind
Fit them together
into a plan
and give me
the missing
pieces
I need
but have never been able
to find.

Opinion Poll

I have
consulted
the astrologer
the psychiatrist
the social worker
the neighbor
and my cat
No one has an answer
What can I do
about that?
