Sports Widow
In the summer it's baseball, fishing, and golf,
In the winter it's hockey and gym,
In spite of time off, because of all this
I don't see enough of him.
Modern Times
They say King Richard cried,
"My kingdom for a horse!"
We do the same today,
But for a cab, of course.
Novel
Oh this book is scary
Who will the poor girl marry -
The evil man she thinks is good
Or the honest man she thinks a hood?
Prism
There's a rainbow on the wall
When the sun shines through
That's the way I seem to be
Whenever I'm with you.
There's a rainbow on the wall
The colors pure and true
That's me when I'm not with you
Except I'm mostly blue.
Gone
The day you left
a robin
landed on the window ledge
He chirped once and flew away.
I never saw him
again
either.
