A Circle

I am alone
Alone on a hill
A hill above
the city
The city lights are bright
Bright as stars in the country
In the country is where I belong
I belong with you
With you
In the country
Under the stars
Not in the bright
lights of the city
not on a hill alone
Alone.

I thought that I had killed it
You know I sure did try
I left in in the cold
And listened to it cry

I thought that I could burn it
So I lit a scarlet flame
When the fire smoldered out
It was just the same.

I find that I must live with it
So that's what I shall do
It will not die cannot be killed
This useless love for you.

untitled

I would give you
all your dreams
In gold
Reality
I would give you
all the joys
In the rainbow
Eventually
If there was only time.
