Discontented
If I were different
I wouldn't miss
What's over
But I'm not.
So in winter
I miss spring
In summer
I miss fall
Every day I miss you
when
you're here
and when
you're gone
I don't
miss
you at all.
Runaway
One day when I am older
I'll just run away
You won't see me
Forever and a day.
Right now I'm getting ready
Myself I won't deprive
But, really, I'm just waiting
'Cause I'm only twenty-five.
Organized Housewife
I make a list every day
of things that I must do
Otherwise I'd forget
to defrost the roast...
wash the floor...
and weed the garden...
It always works for me.
I never forget a thing.
Until this week...
I really should have
written
SANITY across each list
in bold red letters
but I forgot
And somehow
As organized as I appear to be
After the events of these
last few days
I seem to have lost it.
My SANITY that is.
Would you check under
that chair please?
